  • Inspect your vents and coils regularly for mold.
  • If you find that you do have mold growing on the coils, clean them with a mixture of bleach and water.
  • Should you discover any standing water around your intake vents, wipe it up and call your HVAC professional to come look.
  • Have your HVAC system inspected at least twice a year by a professional and get their input about the health of your indoor air.
  • Talk to your HVAC technician about whether or not your home would benefit from an air purifier, and/or a humidifier/dehumidifier.
